About the Route

Route Highlights
I leave from London - St. Pancras Station - and take the Eurostar and a series of local trains to Bayonne where I change for the final leg to St. Jean Pied de Port. This is where my walk begins
First challenge: Crossing the Pyrenees. The Napolean Route across the Pyrenees Mountains only opens April 1, so there is no guarantee I will be able to take the "high road". If it is closed I will have to take the less scenic lower option to arrive at Roncesvalles.
Highlights across the route where I will stay a bit longer: Pamplona, Burgos, Leon, Santiago de Compostela, and, finally, Muxia before returning home.
